The Whispr speaker seen from the front: a round body on a flat base, a grille around one large button ringed with light, the name Whispr below it and a knurled dial on its side.
Nothing gets pressed on their side.
An older woman laughing in her armchair by the window, family photos behind her and the Whispr speaker on the table beside her crossword.
A woman in her forties smiling as she reads a message on her phone, standing by a window in her office with a laptop and papers on the desk behind her.

Staying connected, even when you’re apart.

Between your messages

It keeps themcompany.

Most of their day happens when you can’t be there for them. Whispr fills the quiet, a voice that talks with them about the morning, the garden, what they watched last night.

And it remembers.

It knows what they said yesterday. Conversations that carry on, instead of starting over every time.

Why we think this is worth building

We believe communication and active mental stimulation are the key to a happier and longer life.

  • 50.7%

of older adults in assisted living and similar settings report feeling lonely.

  • 27.6%

of older adults worldwide report feeling lonely. The gap between that number and the one above it is the whole reason we are building this.

Research on loneliness in older adults, by other people. Not findings about Whispr, and not a claim that Whispr changes any of it.

About the voice

A very short guest list

Whispr only ever plays voices from people on their list. No unknown numbers, no wrong numbers, nobody pretending to be family.

Every voice on it was recorded by the person it belongs to, on their own phone, because they wanted to be on the list. They can take it off again whenever they like.

You’ve probably read about cloned voices being used to trick older people. That is exactly why it works this way.
